Benefits of Becoming an FCA-SOS Chapter Member

The South Okanagan-Similkameen Chapter was founded in 2000 with a membership of 23. Today we have 86 members spanning the region from Princeton to Summerland.

Volunteers
Our chapter is a not-for-profit organization sustained by the enthusiasm and dedication of volunteers. We encourage all new members to become actively involved in chapter activities.

Artistic Growth
One our main goals is to facilitate artistic growth for members. We offer support and education on a number of different levels, as well as an opportunity to display our paintings in our local area.

Meetings
We hold nine monthly meetings each year. Each meeting features a brief business segment followed by a longer program segment. Programs include demonstrations, art critiques or discussion on set topics. One meeting a year is an en plein air painting day.

Chapter Shows
We try to have at least one chapter juried show a year. We also have four or five non-juried shows a year.

Workshops
We strive to offer at least two workshops each year using FCA nationally respected artists.

Mentor Program
Our Chapter has a mentor program that helps emerging artists reach their protential.
